I am looking forward to receiving information about additional data and
bug reports from the scientific community. However, please don't be too
disappointed in case I don't have the time to reply. Collecting Henry's
law constants is not my main job. It's just something I did because I
needed (and still need) them for my research. Before sending me an
email, please consider the following points:
- Converting between different definitions and units for Henry's law
constants can be quite tricky. I'm afraid I won't have the time to
answer individual questions on how to convert from unit xxx to unit yyy.
- Henry's law constants are used in several research areas, e.g.
pesticide control, waste water management, and atmospheric chemistry.
Since I'm an atmospheric chemist myself, I don't think I will be able to
help you with problems in the other research areas.

Compiling this data set would not have been possible without the help I
received. For valuable discussions, bug reports, and also for pointing
out and sending copies of additional references to me, I would like to

The Henry's Law Constants data base has been written using the open
source software
python,
django and
postgresql. Rüdiger Sörensen implemented the
software on the web server of the satellite group. I am grateful to
G. Mallard, S. R. Heller, and P. J. Linstrom
for looking up many of the CAS registry
numbers. The NIST
Chemistry WebBook was also a very useful tool for this task.
